The A-10 Thunderbolt II (also known as the Warthog) is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft designed to provide close air support of ground forces. It was the first USAF aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.
The A-10 has superb manoeuverability even at low speeds and altitude, this is due to its large wing area, high wing aspect ratio, and large ailerons. This design also enables short takeoffs and landings, allowing it to operate from the smallest and most basic airfields.
Like all the planes in the Starmax range, the A-10 is finished in the factory to a high standard and represents an excellent replica of the real aircraft. Extra features like the realistic landing gear, and the clear cockpit complete with pilot add to the authenticity and realism present in this model.
This model features twin 64mm EDF jets, twin ESCs and a massive 2500mAh battery. It also has 5 channels which allows an electric landing gear retracting mechanism.
However, not only does it look fantastic, it is an amazing 3D aerobatic aircraft, and capable of incredible speed. The twin engined punch that this plane packs allows it to perform a full aerobatic display: inside loops, outside loops, axial rolls, inverted flight, knife edge, stall turns, hammerheads, and spins are all possible.
This plane is 90% assembled and so only a few minutes of final finishes are needed before you can fly. Also everything you need is in the box, apart from 8 AA batteries, which you'll need to power the radio contol transmitter.
This jet comes with a 2.4G radio which means the range is longer and more stable plus you do not have to worry about interference from other fliers. It is also equipped with a powerful brushless motor, for the best performance. The plane is made from strong but lightweight foam that is more resistant to crashes and gives easier stable flight even in windy conditions. This aeroplane can take off from the ground or can be hand launched.
