The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Würger was a German single-seat, single-radial engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s. It was used by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War, and is up there with the Spitfire and the P-51D Mustang as one of the best fighter planes of the period. The Fw 190 had a top speed of over 400 mph and could undertake sorties of around 500 miles. To take down its target the Focke was equipped with two 13 mm MG 131 machine guns with 475 rpg (rounds per gun), and four 20 mm MG 151/20 E cannons with 250 rpg in the wing root and 140 rpg outboard.
Once you've opened the box, this replica Fw 190 will be ready for take-off in only a few minutes, radio equipment and everything you need to fly (apart from 8 AA batteries for the transmitter) is included in the package.
This model is lightweight, extremely tough, and the fuselage has been finished, carefully emulating the details of the original aeroplane. This plane features excellent stability and awesome aerobatic capabilities. An experienced pilot will have it performing inside loops, outside loops, axial rolls, inverted flight, knife edge, stall turns, hammerheads, and even spins!
This plane is described as RTF or ready to fly, this means that everything except batteries for the transmitter is included in the box and that only a few minor stages of assembly remain, such as attaching the wings and tailplane. These steps should take around 30 minutes to complete.
